Monoposto Reprise IT Tiedeman Trophy - Silverstone - 5th November

Charlie Hart made his competitive debut at the wheel of the Leastone 1000 last weekend at Silverstone, where he joined the Monoposto grid for the final 2 rounds of the Tiedeman Trophy series. While Hart had a handful of tests during the year in the 1000, he was unable to take part in pre-event testing, meaning he had a new track to learn in qualifying – albeit the relatively short National Layout. He approached the weekend in an extremely mature manner, gaining time with each passing lap. By the end of the 15-minute qualifying session, he had logged a time good enough for 10th overall and 1st in the M1000 class.

He continued his steep learning curve in Race 1, where he made his first start in the motorbike powered car, but he took it in stride and launched forward to run in 4th place by the end of the first lap! With 10 F3 cars on the 19-car grid, it was always going to be a challenge to hold station, but that certainly didn’t stop the Baltinglass native putting up a valiant defence.

Following a number of wheel-to-wheel battles over the 20 min race, Charlie slipped back to 7th overall and notched up a class win to boot, marking an outstanding debut for the 21-year-old.

Unfortunately, he would not get to build on the momentum from Race 1. He made another fantastic launch but on the run to Copse, the car suffered a failure which forced him to coast to a halt. Despite the weekend ending with a DNF, Hart came away buoyed by the experience, having demonstrated good pace and consistency each time in the car.

That brings 2024 to a close for the Leastone team, one that saw 2 championships, 15 wins and numerous other podiums across Ireland, the UK and Zandvoort! Time now for the traditional winter rebuild, before ramping up for another successful year in 2025. As always, we have to give huge thanks to our sponsors who have supported us throughout the year:
